CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E Gaming Desktop Review

The CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E is a unique pre-built gaming rig. It’s equipped for entry level gamers looking for a cheap but awesome rig to usher them into the world of PC gaming. Going for just a low price on Amazon, the CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E gaming desktop review is one of the most popular ultra-budget rigs with 5 star ratings from past buyers.

The price doesn’t mean this PC is a slouch as it actually comes equipped with one of the best AMD processors ever made-the AMD FX-4300 3.80GHz Quad-Core processor. This was a darling of hard-core gamers with a bias towards AMD products and still remains a huge favorite for PC builders on a budget. Graphics is handled by the NVIDIA GeForce GT710 1GB Video Card. The CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E also comes with 8GB of RAM (sufficient for gaming purposes) and a 1TB HDD.

  • Unique and aggressive exterior design.
  • Powerful AMD processor
  • Sufficient RAM
  • Has several expansion/upgrade options
  • Ample storage

  • Comes with a meagre 450watt PSU which may limit upgrades

It’s hard to ignore the price tag on this CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E gaming PC. A lot of hard-core PC enthusiasts would frown upon the idea of buying a pre-built gaming PC instead of building one at Home. However, not all PC gamers have the time or expertise to scour the internet or PC-parts stores for gaming components and construct a working gaming rig. Oh and good luck finding a new FX-4300 processor today.

Our estimation consolidating all the components that come with the CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E gaming PC add up to about 480 bucks excluding the Windows 10 license fee. The CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E gaming PC is an absolute bargain for entry gamers shopping for a dedicated gaming rig.

Design and Features

Almost all CybertronPC gaming rigs tend to feature this aggressive almost industrial like design aesthetic complete with bright LED lighting and RGB fans. This is the type of design that most PC gamers love so the CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E gaming PC shines in that regard. At first glance, the CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E gaming PC looks like something you would actually find inside an actual game.

The case has these transparent polygonal side panels giving unobstructed views of the brightly lit interior. Cable management as seen through these panels is clean and professionally executed.

Gaining access to the interior to perform upgrades shouldn’t be that hard, provided you have access to a screw driver. Inside we find a DIMM 240P slot for an extra 8GB or RAM, PCI-E x1 and PCI-E x1 slots and 3.5 and 5.25 storage expansion bays. The 450w CybertronPC Borg-Q power supply is however a bit limiting in terms of upgrades especially if you want to introduce a modern GPU like a GTX 1060. More adventurous users can actually swap this one for a higher wattage PSU to allow the CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E accommodate fancier upgrades.

This gaming PC comes with a licensed copy of Windows 10 Home 64 bit. As with most CybertronPC installs, this one is devoid of bloatware as well. Although DVD’s are kind of obsolete, most gamers still like to install older games off DVD and the CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E does come with 24X DVD±RW Dual-Layer Drive.

Input Devices

The CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E gaming PC comes with a free gaming keyboard and mouse. This is another win for this ultra-budget PC since entry level gamers can purchase it and not have to spend extra time and money on these two essential gaming peripherals. The keyboard is a full size keyboard. It has nicely spaced out keys that have adequate travel. Entry level gamers will find it good enough for their needs. The mouse has great optical tracking and accuracy and feels really nice to game with for long periods of time.

Gamers tend to have all manner of peripherals and gadgets they need to connect to their gaming PC so having decent port selection is a major selling point for any pre-built rig. The CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E comes with several I/O options. You get 4 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB2.0 ports, an RJ-45 Network Ethernet 10/100/1000 port and 5.1 channel Audio outputs for surround sound systems.

For video output there is a HDMI port and a DVI port on the video card’s I/O. Gamers with older systems can also connect via the VGA port on the motherboard’s I/O although we wouldn’t recommend this as it beats the purpose of buying a dedicated gaming rig with dedicated graphics.

The major highlight for this pre-built gaming rig is the AMD processor installed. The CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E is powered by an AMD FX-4300 with 3.8 GHz base clock speeds. We mentioned this processor’s upsides earlier on so we won’t delve much into specifics here. This is one of AMD’s most popular chips incorporating their AMD 760G Chipset. It’s an intriguing CPU choice for this ultra-budget gaming rig from CybertronPC.

The NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 1GB may be a bit dated for modern gaming rigs but it still packs enough juice to drive modern mid-tier gaming titles like Doom at the average 60fps.

We think the CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E best suits gamers who like playing modern real time strategy(RTS) titles as these tend to be CPU intensive hence more justification for the powerful quad –core FX-4300. E-sports RTS titles like StarCraft can be enjoyed at over 90fps provided they use a monitor to match. Most games can be comfortably played at the average 60fps that we recommend for normal gamers.

Gamers who like playing open world FPS titles like Hitman and GTA can still enjoy gaming at decent and playable 50-6o fps on average setting at 1080p resolution.

The CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E also shines as a general purpose daily machine as its powerful CPU and other performance components can handle heavy workloads smoothly.

The CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213E is one of the cheapest gaming rigs that comes equipped with components that can handle most games smoothly. The AMD processor on this PC is really great especially for those gamers who enjoy real time strategy titles. CybertronPC also throws in a free gaming keyboard and mouse and a licensed copy of Windows 10 Home. We think this one is an absolute steal.
